Amyl and The Sniffers are an unruly gang of Aussie punks who's sludgy riffs, raw energy and perhaps surprisingly catchy melodies are second to none. In the run up to the release of their second album Comfort To Me (due out this Friday the 10th of September via Rough Trade), the band have let 'Hertz' out of the bag like the pent up rattlesnake it is. Blasted over a bed of unapologetically massive riffs Amy Taylor's instantly recognisable vocals speak of getting out of the city as the aggressively catchy chorus, 'take me to the beach, take me to the country, come in the back seat if you love me', implants itself in your psyche. Arriving alongside some equally tantalising visuals shot, edited and directed by John Angus Stewart, 'Hertz' is an exhilarating final taste of things to come. -Holly Mullineaux
